Welcome to Mrs. Lane's Classroom Page!
Hello, my name is Alice Lane. I have been part of the WPA community since 2007, when I began as a parent volunteer. The following year, I joined the staff as the Secondary Registrar/Office Assistant. In 2009, I began teaching and have taught a variety of subjects over the years, stepping away twice before returning to the classroom.
Currently, I teach Church History, Old Testament, and World Geography, as well as proctor a study hall.
One of the things I value most about WPA is the culture that allows me, as a teacher, to know my students and, often, their parents as well. Most importantly, I appreciate WPA’s focus on God and its commitment to teaching students to view the world from a biblical perspective.
Class News & Notes
- PSAT -- Wednesday, Oct. 7; See you Friday
Geography
- This semester's culture lunch will be Nov. 18. Any foods from Mexico, Middle America, and Europe (all countries) are allowed. Research recipes online. Foods from any fast food restaurant or most other restaurants are not acceptable, since they are almost always the "American version." You will need to sign up for your dish by Nov. 1, and it will need to be large enough to share with the class (9 total). Be prepared to talk about your dish and its country. This is a test grade.
Old Testament
- Students need to bring their folder, journal, and Bible to class. Be sure to make a comment or ask a question in your journal when you do your daily Bible reading.
Empowering the next generation through excellence in academics, character, and faith-centered leadership since 2001.
