Clubs & Academic Competitions
The Clubs and Academic Competitions we offer are:
- Debate
- Blue/Red Crew (School Spirit!)
- Chess
- Creative Writing
- Yearbook
- Safety Patrol
- We host academic competitions such as Speech Meet, Math Olympics, and Spelling Bee
- At our secondary level, students may run for Student Council office and are voted for by their peers, teachers and administration
- NJHS and NHS induction is held annually for students who excel in scholarship, service, leadership, and character
Fine Arts
Our Fine Arts offerings include:
- Elementary Music
- Secondary Music and Ensemble
- Secondary Theatre
- High school students compete at the 1A level at TAPPS Solo and Ensemble competition in the spring
- Elementary students have the opportunity to audition for larger theatre productions
Warrior Family Association
WFA operates as our bridge between parents and our staff! They also host social functions for all families to join!
- WFA Officers and Grade Representatives are here to help communicate and assist parents with their homeschool days
- Our Ice Cream Social kicks off the year with a homemade ice cream competition after the volleyball home games
- The Fall Family Picnic is everything you hope it is: a pumpkin auction, hay rides, and a petting zoo!
- Our Chili Cook Off is a great way to usher in winter with some friendly bean vs. no bean chili competition!
- In N Out Night is a perfect basketball game dinner - food truck burgers in the gym parking lot!
- WFA helps host Grandparent's Day
- Book Fair takes place the week of Grandparent's Day
- Elementary grade reps plan a meet up on the square for the city’s annual cattle drive downtown called the Stampede of Speed
Spiritual Life
At Waxahachie Prep Academy the fruit of our “why”is Jesus!
- Students attend Chapel every week
- All classes and curriculum have a biblical immersion plan
- See You at the Pole participation
- Junior High and High School Retreats take place in the fall where students build friendships and sit under a weekend of sound biblical teaching
- Moms in Prayer and Kingdom Dads are groups committed to praying for the health of our school, staff, students, and families
